Meet the Designer Behind Rooh Design Co
Homaira Qalandari, NCIDQ
I grew up surrounded by art, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. My family was full of small business owners, and from a young age, I knew I’d one day forge my own path. I’ve always been drawn to both creativity and problem-solving—art fueled my imagination, while math and analytics sharpened my curiosity about how things work.
Having grown up in different parts of the world and exposed to diverse cultures and architectural styles, I developed a deep appreciation for how design tells the story of people and place. My love for travel has only strengthened that connection—each destination reminds me how space, texture, and light shape human experience. In many ways, I’ve come full circle: combining cultural roots, global inspiration, and modern design thinking.
In high school, I discovered interior design—a discipline that beautifully merges creativity with logic. Over the past decade, I’ve built my career designing commercial environments that connect people and purpose—from vibrant restaurants to inspiring workplaces.
As an NCIDQ-certified, licensed interior designer, I bring both creative vision and technical expertise to every project. I believe thoughtful design can transform how people experience space—balancing beauty, function, and emotion.
Rooh Design Co. was born from a desire to bring soul into every space. “Rooh,” meaning soul in Persian, reflects my belief that great design goes beyond aesthetics—it creates environments that feel alive, meaningful, and deeply human.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me exploring new coffee shops and restaurants around Denver, traveling, spending time outdoors, enjoying fashion, and hanging out with my amazing family.
